My name is Jimena, and this is part of my story.

Since my early childhood, drawing and painting were my most natural way of inhabiting the world. I was born in La Plata, where I took my first steps in art. At the age of ten, I began the process of entering the secondary school of Fine Arts, part of the National University of La Plata.

After finishing high school, I continued my training at the Faculty of Fine Arts. My path took a turn when I worked as a stagehand in set design, which led me to move to Buenos Aires.

Once settled, I kept building my education: at the Pueyrredón School of Art (today the National University of the Arts), and later at UBA, where I studied Textile Design and graduated. I completed a postgraduate degree in Sociology of Design, and continued in workshops with Argentine artists, broadening my perspective and my practice.

I developed my work independently, designing prints for well-known brands, and also within a company, where I gained knowledge of pattern-making and workshop management. That experience gave me a full understanding of the textile process.

Over time, I became independent to create my own project: a space where my two great passions come together, textile design and visual arts.

In this project, every work, every small collection, every thread is thought through in detail. Works and series coexist, and in all of them, the exploration of texture and color is central.

Exploring weaves, colors, textures, balance and nuance is my horizon. Working through my narrative is my present.

What I do is my passion. And my wish is to be able to share it.
