Black Forest is a 150 × 150 cm textile artwork created on fabric-mounted paper. The original print serves as a starting point and is then manually intervened with paint and metallic applications, building a surface where different layers of imagery overlap and transform.
The work evokes a dense, enigmatic undergrowth, where branches, faces, and hands emerge as if coming from other dimensions. These fragmented presences inhabit an uncertain territory, searching for a form of encounter and communication.
Between the recognizable and the imaginary, Black Forest creates a landscape that does not seek to literally represent nature, but rather suggests a space of passage between different realities. The figures appear and disappear within the vegetal structure, like traces of something taking place beyond what can be seen.
